Battlefield 6 Is Adding Something Fans Have Wanted Since Day 1

EA and Battlefield Studios have unveiled more details on Battlefield 6's upcoming Season 5, and it includes a new feature that fans have wanted since day one: a proper server browser. Battlefield did indeed launch with a server browser, but--considering how it only supported Portal mode--it wasn't the one fans wanted. One of the game's producers asked why players even want a full server browser. Now, in response to the feedback, Battlefield Studios is adding a proper server browser with the Season 5 update this December, allowing people to create their own servers and set rules like map rotation and other particulars. Classic-era Battlefield games had server browsers, and fans flocked to them because they could pick and choose exactly the maps and modes they wanted to play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5ufBOI6Dto&feature=youtu.be Season 5 rolls out in waves, beginning with Siege of Las Vegas on October 13, which adds two new maps: Vegas Strip and Area 51. For Battlefield 6's battle royale RedSec, Siege of Las Vegas adds a new version of the mode called Rapid Royale, which promises faster rounds with smaller player populations. Battlefield 6's Season 5 will also include a Halloween event running October 20 through November 7, featuring a "limited-time scenario" that has players hunting down "secret tech" beneath Area 51. This scenario, which Battlefield Studios stressed is non-canon, includes a celebration of aliens and the Dead Space series, taking players to environments based on the 2023 remake. There will also be Dead Space-themed cosmetics to unlock. Phase 2 of Season 5, called Casino Heist, begins November 10, adding a new map called European Casino. Finally, Phase 3, known as Frozen Aces, arrives on December 8, and as its name suggests, it will bring cold weather to Las Vegas, along with a new operation across the Vegas Strip and Area 51. The Battlefield 6 server browser also arrives during the Phase 3 of Season 5. Battlefield 6 was 2025's best-selling game in the US, even outperforming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Street Fighter Was On Death’s Door, And Its Players Weren’t Getting Any Younger

Street Fighter 5 launched in 2016 in rough shape, and if things hadn't changed, the classic fighting game franchise might have been dead and buried by 2026. That's according to Street Fighter 6 producer Shuhei Matsumoto and game director Takayuki Nakayama, who recently spoke about how Capcom's signature fighting game franchise was knocking on death's door at one point, before a turnaround strategy reenergized it for a new generation of digital fisticuffs. Following Capcom veteran Yoshinoro Ono's exit from the company in 2020, Matsumoto and Nakayama started work on a new Street Fighter game that could appeal to both the existing--and aging--player base while attracting new blood to the series. "When the two of us were talking during Street Fighter 5, we realized that if we didn't do something about Street Fighter, the Street Fighter IP would probably die in 10 years. It was critical. So, we had to make it a game where people would get to know it all over again and play it again," Matsumoto said in an interview with Karin Ohira (via IGN). "At that time, the player base for Street Fighter 5 was roughly 35 to 45 years old. In 10 years, these people will be 60. It’s difficult to sustain the franchise if we only rely on that group." Matsumoto added that while Street Fighter was still recognizable as a franchise, that didn't mean people were engaging with it. If things didn't change, Matsumoto predicted that the IP "would likely die in 10 years." https://youtu.be/y2DSNf_1TDw The turning point came with Street Fighter 6, as the team approached its development as if it were a brand-new fighting game. By not relying on the legacy of Street Fighter, designing the Modern Control scheme to level the playing field, adding World Tour mode, and incorporating the fighting game community more closely into the project, Street Fighter 6 proved to be a hit when it was released in 2023. Street Fighter 6 is also arguably the fighting game of the current decade. It still has a healthy audience, has expanded with post-launch content, and its modernized control schemes have attracted new players. It would have been a strange twist of fate if Street Fighter did fade into obscurity, as back in the late-2000s, Street Fighter 4 was credited with reinvigorating the fighting game scene, following several years of the genre being overshadowed by new game IP on the rise. You could also point to Street Fighter 6 as another example of Capcom's golden touch: after the release of Resident Evil 7 almost a decade ago, the company has turned out hit after hit, with only a few misses along the way. This year alone has seen Capcom release four games, with each one being critically acclaimed--Resident Evil: Requiem, Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Beyond that, Zach Cregger's Resident Evil movie adaptation has also been a big hit--and is one of the most commercially successful in the franchise--and it'll be followed by a new live-action Street Fighter movie later this month.

Arc Raiders Ruins And Reverberations Quest Guide

After having you try multiple items to fix antennas across three different maps in your previous quest, Arc Raiders sends you back to its newest map, Pendola Pass, for the Ruins and Reverberations quest. Here, you'll need to use a Spotter Relay on an antenna--though things don't initially pan out how you'd prefer. Let's talk about it below. In This Article Connect a Spotter Relay to the antenna on the roof of the Cielo Sereno ObservatoryWeld the wires in the crawlspace under the control room to redirect powerActivate the Spotter Relay at the antenna again Before you get started, it's important to note that you need to have a Spotter Relay to complete this quest. Spotters fly around areas with Bombardiers to ping you with their lasers, making you easier to target for the heavy artillery ARC. You can find Bombardiers on multiple maps, but in our experience, there tends to be one actually wandering around the area you're headed to on Pendola Pass. So, this may be an efficient way to snag one on the way to completing the quest. Connect a Spotter Relay to the antenna on the roof of the Cielo Sereno Observatory Load into Pendola Pass, then make your way to the Cielo Sereno Observatory on the northeastern side of the map. Note its location on the map below. Cielo Sereno Observatory When you arrive, wrap around to the eastern side of this high-up building to find a yellow ladder you can take to reach the roof. Walk across the roof to the western side to find an antenna. Interact with the antenna to use the Spotter Relay on it. That will complete the first step of the quest and update your objective. Weld the wires in the crawlspace under the control room to redirect power You'll now need to head inside the observatory, so glance right beside the antenna to spot a hole in the roof you can drop through. Drop down this hole. When you land below, you'll be right on or beside another hole in the floor you can drop through to reach the crawlspace. Go ahead and hop down there. Then drop down this hole, too. Here, you'll only have one path forward, so take an immediate left, then another left to discover a panel on the wall you can interact with to weld the wires. Afterward, you can leave the crawlspace. Activate the Spotter Relay at the antenna again Now you simply need to return to the roof once more and interact with the antenna again. Doing so will complete the quest. Now you can fix the antenna. With this quest complete, you're free to extract back to Speranza. Arc Raiders A Path Not Yours Quest Guide

As you make progress in the Frozen Trail update quests in Arc Raiders, you'll eventually come across A Path Not Yours, which tasks you with finding a Nomad trail. Luckily, we've got the exact location of where this trail begins, as well as where it ends. So, let's get right to it. Here's how to complete A Path Not Yours in Arc Raiders. In This Article Find the start of the Nomad trail under the Highway CollapseFollow the trail markers to the Nomad hideoutFind Bilguun's gift at the buried cache under the hideout We recommend you bring an augment with a safe pocket for this quest, as you'll need to extract with an item at the end. Additionally, since Blue Gate tends to be one of the more dangerous maps, it's not a bad idea to bring along a gun you feel particularly comfortable with, as well as plenty of ammo and healing items. Better safe than sorry, after all! Find the start of the Nomad trail under the Highway Collapse Start a raid on the Blue Gate map, then head all the way to the southern portion of the region to the Highway Collapse POI. Here, you're looking for a marker that signifies the beginning of a Nomad trail. You can find this marker glowing yellow at the location below. Interact with it to update the quest objective. Follow the trail markers to the Nomad hideout Rather than follow the trail markers, which can be a bit annoying to spot, just head to the location below to trigger the next step of the quest. There's still a bit left to go, though. Find Bilguun's gift at the buried cache under the hideout You'll now be required to find a gift buried nearby. Luckily, it's only a few steps from where you are. Head ever so slightly southwest and check behind the highway pillar to find a spot you can interact with. The Broken Compass will fall out afterward. Make sure you pick up the Broken Compass and place it in your safe pocket. Now you're free to extract and make your way back to Speranza. The Forest Airshaft is only a hop and a skip away, so we'd recommend heading to that one if it's available. For your trouble, Ermal will toss you quite a few items, including Power Cables, Batteries, Magnets, and a Tellurion (an epic trinket). You can sell the Tellurion to bolster your stash a bit, but the other stuff might come in handy for crafting. For more help with quests, check out our full Arc Raiders mission list.

Arc Raiders To The Skies Quest Guide

If you're working through the quests added in Arc Raiders' Frozen Trail update, you'll eventually come across one called To the Skies, which asks you to scan ARC Probes and ARC Couriers. There's more to this quest than initially meets the eye, though, so let's talk about it. Here's how to complete To the Skies in Arc Raiders. In This Article Scan any crashed ARC Probe / Scan any ARC CourierSearch for the gandola prototype For more help with quests, check out our full Arc Raiders mission list. Before you set off to do this quest, we'd recommend you go ahead and prepare. You'll need to find four items that will be required for repairing a gondola later in the quest, so it's best to come prepared. ARC Performance Steel - Found by defeating large ARCs like Leapers, Bastions, and Bombardiers, among others. ARC Synthetic Resin - Found by defeating medium and large ARCs like Hornets, Fireflies, Shredders, and Turbines, among others. ARC Thermo Lining - Found by defeating small and medium ARCs like Pops, Fireballs, Wasps, and Snitches, among others. ARC Pop Trigger - Found by defeating Pops. Most of these can also be found by looting Baron Husks on any map. When you've collected all of this, leave it in your inventory for the first steps of the quest. We'll let you know when to bring it with you. Scan any crashed ARC Probe / Scan any ARC Courier To start, you'll need to find and scan any ARC Probe and any ARC Courier. These spawn randomly across every map and can be spotted at a distance by identifying the black smoke they emit. Simply approach one of each and choose to scan it (different than breaching it). After doing both, you'll get the second part of the quest. Search for the gandola prototype This part of the quest is where you should bring the four items we mentioned above. There are four different potential locations where you can choose to visit a gondola prototype. You only need to repair one, so you can opt for any you prefer. However, for the sake of this guide, we're choosing the one on Riven Tides, as it's arguably the smallest and easiest of all of the maps to trek across. Head to Riven Tides, then make your way to the southern part of the map to the Dried Riverbed. Gondola Prototype location on Riven Tides Sitting beneath a bridge here at the very bottom of the map is a gondola prototype. Gondola Prototype When you arrive, you'll be prompted to use the four items we mentioned previously. Walk around the prototype, applying each of the items. Repair the prototype. Lastly, interact with the prototype once more to activate it. Activate the prototype. That finishes up the To the Skies quest, meaning you can extract safely now. But there are still plenty more tasks to handle topside. For more help with quests, check out our full Arc Raiders mission list.

Arc Raiders Wires Crossed Quest Guide

If you've come across the Wires Crossed quest in Arc Raiders, you're probably aware that it's sending you to three different maps for three different antennas. It's a lot of walking for sure, but we'll help you cut down on the tedium by filling you in on exactly where you need to go to finish this one up. Here's how to complete the Wires Crossed quest in Arc Raiders. In This Article Attach a Snitch Scanner to the antenna at Pilgrim's PeakAttach a Surveyor Vault to the antenna on top of the Launch TowersAttach a Sentinel Firing Core to the antenna on top of the Grandioso Apartments You'll need to find items to use on each of the antennas in this quest. We'd recommend using an augment with a safe pocket while searching for these, so you don't risk losing them if you die. Attach a Snitch Scanner to the antenna at Pilgrim's Peak You'll need a Snitch Scanner for the first portion of the quest. You can get these by killing (obviously) Snitches, which are easily spotted all over every map. They're the annoying ARC that spot you and call in reinforcements. Kill one and snag its Snitch Scanner. Next, make your way to the northern tip of the Blue Gate map to a POI called Pilgrim's Peak. Pilgrim's Peak Head around to the back of the tower outside and take the zipline up to the very top floor. Take the zipline inside this opening. Here, attach the Snitch Scanner to the antenna on your left. Attach the Snitch Scanner here. Next, you're headed to Spaceport. Attach a Surveyor Vault to the antenna on top of the Launch Towers For this step of the quest, you'll need a Surveyor Vault. Only one Surveyor spawns on a map (which you can frequently spot shining a blue laser into the sky), and they're annoying to kill. Instead, we recommend just looting ARC Couriers you come across until you find a Surveyor Vault inside. Once you have the Surveyor Vault, head to Spaceport, then to the center of the map to the Launch Towers POI. Launch Towers Enter through one of the side doors. Enter here. In the dark room inside, take a zipline up to the very top of the towers. Take the zipline up. Here, head up to the roof to find an antenna you can interact with to use the Surveyor Vault. Use the Surveyor Vault on the antenna on the roof. Next, you're headed to Buried City. Attach a Sentinel Firing Core to the antenna on top of the Grandioso Apartments Lastly, you'll need a Sentinel Firing Core. You can get them by killing Sentinels, the sniper ARC you can occasionally find perching on walls or rooftops topside. Like the Surveyor Vaults, though, they can also be found in ARC Couriers, so that may be your best bet. On the Buried City map, head all the way west to the Grandioso Apartments. Take the ziplines and stairs inside to reach the rooftop of the southern apartment building. Grandiso Apartments Here, you can find an antenna with a prompt allowing you to use the Sentinel Firing Core. Use the Sentinel Firing Core on the antenna. With all of that done, you'll have finished the Wires Crossed quest. You can head back to Speranza for your reward. Make sure to check out our full Arc Raiders mission list for more help with your upcoming quests.

Is GTA 6 Coming To Switch 2? Ask Rockstar, Nintendo Says

Rockstar's GTA 6 is the biggest game of 2026 and possibly ever, but it's not coming to Switch 2 ... or is it? Nintendo of America's new president, Devon Pritchard, was recently asked if GTA 6 is coming to Switch 2, and she didn't say yes or no. Instead, she said people should ask Rockstar and its owner, Take-Two. “That’s going to be a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar, but nothing to announce on my end at this time,” Pritchard told Variety. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klc0fQmAL6k In May of 2025, a report from NateTheHate said Rockstar was conducting tests to see about bringing GTA 6 to Switch 2. He clarified that this doesn't mean GTA 6 was planned for Switch 2, going on to say developers regularly conduct tests to see if their games are technically feasible on different platforms. For now, GTA 6 is confirmed only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S when it launches on November 19. History suggests that a PC edition will follow later, but this is not confirmed. CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company could bring more games to Switch 2, but it's unknown if GTA 6 may be among them. He said Take-Two “would not necessarily bring every title to the platform,” but he noted there is a “great” opportunity to bring some of its older titles to Switch 2. He also said he is a “big believer” in the Switch 2. While GTA 6 may not be coming to Switch 2, Rockstar released GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on Switch in 2021, and it's playable on Switch 2 as well. Before this, Rockstar released GTA: Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DS. GTA 1 and GTA 2 also came to the Game Boy back in the day.

Is The BioShock Movie Ever Going To Happen? Director Weighs In

A movie adaptation of the popular game series BioShock has been in the works for a long time, and like a lot of film projects, it appears to be trapped in Development Hell. It remains to be seen how things will shake out with BioShock, but now its director has provided a positive-sounding update. Francise Lawrence told GamesRadar that the team is "still working on a script," but he believes, "We're pretty close." He added: "I'm feeling really good about it." Hollywood is littered with stories of filmmakers who are excited about projects, only to see them never materialize for countless reasons. That could happen for BioShock, too, but Lawrence is hopeful. "Yeah, I would love to make it. I've been like dying to. I've been working at it. I've been trying," he said. A BioShock movie has been in development for more than a decade now, with Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski originally tapped to direct for a theatrical release. He pushed for a big-budget, R-rated version, and the studio reportedly balked after Zach Snyder's expensive Watchmen adaptation flopped. Netflix announced in 2022 that it had taken over the BioShock movie project, but things didn't go to plan. There was a regime change at Netflix, and producer Roy Lee said this resulted in the BioShock movie getting scaled back to become a more “personal” film. The BioShock movie was supposed to happen years ago, but Lawrence had a full plate with 2025's The Long Walk and this December's The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. With that movie finished up, Lee said he thinks Lawrence could begin work on BioShock in 2027, though he acknowledged that anything can happen in Hollywood and plans may change. Blade Runner 2049’s Michael Green and Terminator: Dark Fate’s Justin Rhodes are working on the script. There is no word yet on a cast. Intriguingly, Lee said BioShock rights-owner Take-Two is “very anxious to see the movie come out” because the plan is for it to “coincide with some of the potential new incarnations of the game.” Lee did not name any specific games outright, but Take-Two recently reiterated that the long-in-development BioShock 4 will see the light of day … some day. A remake of the original BioShock was reportedly in development, but was canceled in 2025. As for the in-development BioShock 4, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick recently said the game is not dead and will come out “without question.” He offered this assurance to fans in the wake of BioShock 4 undergoing a partial overhaul to improve on key areas. Developer Cloud Chamber also suffered layoffs, with studio head Kelley Gilmore departing and former Diablo boss Rod Fergusson taking over. Some may recall how Ferguson was called in years ago to be a “closer” for BioShock Infinite to help get the game out the door.

The EU Is Coming For Gaming’s Most Manipulative Monetization Tactics

European consumer protection authorities have announced a series of "coordinated actions" aimed at 10 video companies, accusing several of the biggest names in the industry--like Activision Blizzard and Ubisoft--of "dark patterns" that are designed to put minors and individuals at risk of gaming addiction. If you've ever purchased in-game currency, then you're probably aware of how one of these tactics works. For example, Destiny 2's in-game currency, Silver, comes in bundles of 500, 1,000, and 1,500 units, but buying a fancy new skin for a set of armor ornaments costs between 600 and 1,500 Silver. That way, you're forced to purchase extra Silver that you don't need, and you can exchange any remaining Silver back for cash, creating what is essentially a one-way exchange rate conversion. Destiny 2 isn't an outlier in this space, as multiple big games like Fortnite and Call of Duty all have their own currencies, available through exploitative bundle deals. The key takeaway is that the setup of these bundles ensures that you'll always be short a few digital bucks on the one item you really want. One of the few games that is changing its approach to in-game currency is Fortnite, as starting October 14, players can purchase the exact amount of V-Bucks they need. This change will also roll out to Rocket League and Fall Guys across Xbox, Nintendo, PC, Android, iPhone, and the Fortnite web Item Shop, but for now, it won't be supported on PlayStation. The European-wide enforcement says that it's focused on practices that obscure real-world spending in video games, such as the use of premium in-game currencies, selling virtual currencies in set quantities that rarely align with item prices and thus force players to overspend, and insufficient parental control mechanisms. Under the coordination of the European Commission, the goal is to promote transparency and fairness, as well as protect the rights of consumers and minors when playing video games. Minecraft Minecoins are just one of many premium in-game currencies out there. So far, the following companies have been targeted by the Italian Competition Authority-led actions: Activision Blizzard Crytek InnoGames GmbH King Mojang Plarium Europe S.à.r.l. PLR Worldwide Sales Limited Riot Games Supercell Ubisoft Activision Blizzard remains the primary point of focus, with games like Diablo Immortal and Call of Duty being singled out, expanding on previous investigations carried out on those titles. Manipulative user interface design tactics and poor customer support have also been cited as areas of concern. "These practices make it difficult for gamers, particularly vulnerable consumers, such as minors and individuals at risk of gaming addiction, to understand and keep track of how much money they are spending," the EC press statement reads. If successful, this action could set a new regulatory precedent with stricter oversight of monetization strategies in free-to-play and live-service games across all European markets. This follows a recent trend across the world, where consumer protection, UI design, and contract transparency has come under the spotlight. Several years ago, the Federal Trade Commission began an investigation into "roach motel" subscriptions in live-service games that only required a single click to sign up for season passes or recurring subscriptions, but canceling them required the digital equivalent of jumping through multiple hoops.  Meanwhile, Sony has claimed that it doesn’t mislead customers into purchasing digital licenses for games (instead of actual ownership of the product) as it moves closer towards its all-digital future, and it is also set to pay out nearly $8 million to PlayStation customers as part of a settlement regarding digital game prices.

“Video Games” Singer Can’t Wait To Play New Video Game GTA 6

Rockstar Games recently announced GTA 6's in-game radio stations, and one of them is co-hosted by 11-time Grammy-nominated Lana Del Rey. The singer-songwriter had a connection to video games before this, as she recorded the song "Video Games" on her 2012 album Born to Die. Now, she's set to appear in the biggest video game ever, and she's pretty stoked about that. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Del Rey said, "On so many different levels this is super special and a privilege. Can’t wait to get into the game and start playing.” Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen co-host GTA 6's Back Country Radio. She plays the character Delta Dawne, and is a co-host for the Back Country radio station alongside singer Morgan Wallen as MW. Del Rey's husband, Jeremy Dufrene, will lend his voice to the game's Back Country Radio station, too, as the character Mud Dog Mike. Elsewhere, the GTA 6 in-game radio stations feature other real-world famous musicians like Bad Bunny, and Kerry King and Tom Arya of Slayer Music has always been a big part of the GTA franchise, and that continues with GTA 6. In the new game, players can listen to music in their cars and digest podcasts while walking around in Vice City through headphones. For more, check out all of the songs in GTA 6 so far. GTA 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so its release is right around the corner. Fans have been waiting a long time, as the game has been in development since 2015.

Nivalis Nights Takes The Danger Out Of Night City To Deliver A Cyberpunk Slice Of Life That’s Now Cheaper Than Ever

Despite the neon lights, futuristic technology, and the promise of a brighter future, the entire cyberpunk genre lives on the fact that, in reality, no one should want to live in this world. Games like Cyberpunk 2077 don’t just give you awesome enhancements; they also tackle identity and a corporate-run city that controls nearly every aspect of anyone unfortunate enough to live here. Nivalis Nights doesn’t remove those traits, but instead, it gives you the perspective of someone normal. Best of all, this slice-of-life simulation game is at a discount just after launching, meaning now’s the best time to give it a try. You start your life in Nivalis in your apartment, before suddenly being offered the chance to own your own noodle bar by the previous owner, who is a little secretive about why he’s giving up his livelihood. After that, you’re tasked with getting some stock in for the shop--thanks for leaving it empty, old owner--and going from a lowly nobody to a nobody who runs a pretty decent restaurant. You’re not V, trying to make a name for yourself in Nivalis like a legend from Night City. Instead, it’s all about making friends (or enemies) with vendors, restaurant owners, and other businesses in the area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZJHgkSGY2E Despite a curfew being in place, a serial killer prowling the neon-drenched streets, and the fact that you--or another business owner--can become a saboteur to take down rival companies, the overall experience is rather cozy. Rain patters against the sidewalk as you take in the sights, get called ugly by someone livestreaming (but who, when confronted, says she’s not livestreaming), and inevitably steal meal ideas from other restaurant owners. It’s like if Stardew Valley grew up and had a baby with Cyberpunk 2077, but the former removed some of the latter’s more irredeemable qualities. Sure, it may not be as comforting as some of the best cozy games, but it has the same feeling at its core. The visual style pulls you in, with bright colors popping despite the somewhat low-poly look of Nivalis Nights’ graphics. Turning your initial business from a zero-review place into something that deserves a spot in Meridian Market is engaging and challenging, and yet it’s just dipping your toes into Nivalis’ waters. Nivalis Nights just launched, but if you don’t want to pay full price, you can buy it for $22.49 / £19.79 at Fanatical, which gets you a Steam key for less than the listed price. To be honest, it’s well worth the full price, but at least here you’re supporting the developers and getting a discount. Win cyberneticwin, in my eyes. Hopefully I don’t see you in Nivalis, though. I don’t need you stealing my business ideas, of which I have many. A cybernetic that helps you get Pokémon cards at retail price? Count me in. Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom. This story was created in collaboration with Fanatical’s deals team.

Charlie Cox Recorded 40 Hours Of Dialogue For A Sega Game He Can’t Name Yet

Daredevil: Born Again actor Charlie Cox is starring in an upcoming video game, but it's not the first time he has lent his voice to one of these projects. At New York Comic-Con 2026, Cox revealed that he'd just finished recording his lines for a game that'll be published by Sega, but he didn't say which one. Hilariously, Cox mentioned that the game's crew was disappointed to find out he was English, not American. "I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet," Cox said to IGN. "I did a Sega one. I've done one since. It hasn't come out yet. It was fun to do. It's hard. It's a whole different job, man. I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it. Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, 'Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?' And all of them went, ‘Oh, he’s English.’ They’d hoped, they'd wanted him to be American. But now I've got to do 40 hours of lines I've not prepared in an accent. Yeah, I think they thought I was American." In a perfect universe, Cox is headlining Sonic Frontiers 2. So what game did Cox sign up for? It's probably not a Sonic the Hedgehog game, but if the gig involved him recording dozens of hours of vocals, that would suggest a narrative-heavy title. Persona and Like a Dragon would fit that bill, but Cox may have signed up for a completely new project at Sega. Fans of the Daredevil actor last heard him in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, where he played Gustav. The game won critical acclaim after it launched last year, and Cox was pleasantly surprised at how popular it was. While Cox was nominated for Best Performance at The Game Awards last year, he said he didn't deserve the full credit as the motion-capture for Gustav was performed by Maxence Cazorla. With Expedition 33 proving to be a critical darling, Cox said he was looking forward to playing it--after he got a console for it. His fellow Daredevil actor, Deborah Ann Woll, will also be popping up early next year in God of War Laufey on PS5.

Ghost Of Tsushima Anime Taps Star Wars: Visions Talent For Its 2028 Release

The Best Detail Of Phantom Blade 0 Was Never Explained

After my six hours of hands-on time with Phantom Blade 0 in LA, I was sold on the game. The boss design is amazing, the soundtrack is killer, and the beautiful wide linear environments have great metroidvania style side distractions. Obviously, the crown jewel of developer S-Game's production is the motion-captured martial arts combat, and it did not disappoint. But as I kept fighting, something unique and unexpected stood out to me and, after having a talk with director and CEO Soulframe Liang, who confirmed what I experienced, I now better understand what S-Game is trying to accomplish.

Arc Raiders Taking Stock Quest Guide

Arc Raiders occasionally loves to send you to multiple maps for a single quest, and that's the case with Taking Stock. In this lengthy quest, you'll need to visit at least three maps, take some photos, ping some baddies, and more. We're here to help, though. Here's everything you need to do to complete Taking Stock in Arc Raiders. In This Article On Stella Montis, take a photo of the sculpture in the AtriumOn Spaceport, take a photo of a Baron HuskOn Dam Battlegrounds, ping a Bombardier / On Buried City, ping a BastionDeliver 3 Industrial Batteries to the Nomadic Envoys Note that you'll need to bring a camera with you for this quest, as you'll be taking multiple photos. On Stella Montis, take a photo of the sculpture in the Atrium Your first step is to take a photo of the sculpture in the Atrium on Stella Montis. The Atrium can be easily found on the southeastern side of the map. It serves as a convergence point for various other pathways. Atrium location When you arrive, note the giant sculpture in the middle of the Atrium. Take a photo of the sculpture. Take out your camera and snap a picture of it, then exfil when you're ready. On Spaceport, take a photo of a Baron Husk Next up, you should head to Spaceport to take a photo of a Baron Husk. These are large, dormant ARC that can be found in multiple spots around the map. Two of the easiest to find are circled below on the southern side of the region. When you find one, take out your camera and snap a pic. Take a photo of the Baron Husk. Afterward, head to an extraction point and get out while you're still breathing. On Dam Battlegrounds, ping a Bombardier / On Buried City, ping a Bastion The next step of the quest is easy. Simply head to either Dam Battlegrounds and ping any Bombardier, or head to Buried City and ping any Bastion. You only need to do one or the other, not both. These ARC can be found in various areas across the maps. Some popular spots are shown above. Deliver 3 Industrial Batteries to the Nomadic Envoys Lastly, you just need to find and deliver three Industrial Batteries to the Nomadic Envoys. Industrial Batteries can be found in (shocker) Industrial areas. Simply search every nook and cranny in the spots below on Dam Battlegrounds for an easy way to get your hands on some. Look for Industrial Batteries in Industrial zones. When you've found all three Industrial Batteries, head back to Speranza and turn in the quest to knock another one off your list. With that quest wrapped up, check out our full Arc Raiders mission list to get more assistance with your questing.

Ben Affleck Has Some Strong Opinions About Fortnite Skins And How Hard The Game Is For Him

Have you ever wondered what two-time Oscar-winner Ben Affleck thinks about Fortnite skins, and the game generally? You can now rest easy, as the man himself has weighed in with some strong takes. Appearing on the New Heights podcast with brothers Jason and Travis Kelce, Affleck said he's a big gamer, and is particularly fond of first-person shooter games, so when he tried Fortnite, he thought he'd hold his own. That wasn't the case, though. He said not only did he get wiped out immediately, but the 12-year-olds he was playing against made fun of him after taking him out. Affleck said he got heated and shouted back at the kids: "I don't suck! I'm a grown man!" https://twitter.com/yonann/status/2108191229884133646 Affleck also told a brief story about how his son wanted Fortnite skins for Christmas, and he was shocked to learn the specific skins his son wanted cost hundreds of dollars. "They ain't even real? Just to wear in the game? That's bullsh**," Affleck said. Affleck is a big fan of the competitive shooter Valorant. In the movie Gone Girl, Affleck's character can be seen playing Battlefield 3. Affleck is not the only person who has some strong words for the state of Fortnite. Writing for GameSpot, Phil Owen recently talked about why Fortnite sucks this season.

Ubisoft Shutting Down Rainbow Six Mobile After Less Than A Year

Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Mobile is shutting down, and it didn't have a very long life. The game soft-launched in 2023, but properly rolled out for everyone back in February 2026. It will shut down on January 16, 2027, so it will have been online for less than a year in its full state for everyone. "'We are proud of the passion, creativity, and dedication our team has put into the game," Ubisoft said. "One of the greatest parts of this adventure has been getting to experience it alongside you. We've loved seeing the memes, videos, strategies, tournaments, impossible plays, and all the countless moments that happened because you were here." The developers are going to move on to "other long-term strategic projects," but Ubisoft did not say what these may be. The studio will share more details on the game's final days in the coming weeks. "We are truly grateful to everyone who has played our game," the developers said. Rainbow Six Mobile pitched itself as a mobile version of the extremely popular Rainbow Six Siege, which continues to crush it more than a decade after release. The next Rainbow Six game is Rainbow Six Tactics, and it's coming next year. It's been a bumpy year for Ubisoft, as the company created a new organizational structure by way of its partnership with Tencent. As part of this, Ubisoft enacted mass layoffs, closed studios, and cancelled games.

Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting A Movie Adaptation At Call Of Duty Film Studio, Transformers Producer On Board

Movie studio Paramount has announced that it's making a Cyberpunk 2077 movie, becoming just the latest upcoming game adaptation. The studio is also behind the Call of Duty movie that's set for release in 2028. Deadline reported that Lorenzo di Bonaventura, known for his work on the super-popular Transformers movie series, is attached to produce. CD Projekt Red is on board as well to produce, which might make fans happy to hear. Cyberpunk 2077 is headed to the big screen. Not all Hollywood adaptations include their creators, as Larian has no involvement in the Baldur's Gate 3 TV show, while Naughty Dog dropped out of The Last of Us Season 3 on HBO, prompting fears about creative decisions. Paramount has been in the news a lot lately following the company's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery and combination of the two companies. Going forward, the parent company will be called Skydance. Presumably the Call of Duty and Cyberpunk 2077 movies are among those set for release in theaters, following Paramount's commitment to releasing at least 30 movies in theaters each year. It is very early days for the Cyberpunk 2077 movie, and there is no word yet on who may direct or star in it, nor has Paramount given it a release date. The game series, meanwhile, is expanding with a sequel, Cyberpunk 2, which is in development now. Cyberpunk 2077 had a well-documented disastrous launch in December 2020, but the Polish developer steadily supported, updated, and improved the game over the years. Many are calling it one of the best comeback stories ever for a high-profile game. Things culminated in the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 release in 2023 and the launch of the stellar Phantom Liberty expansion. The game has sold more than 40 million copies.

Arc Raiders Celeste’s Teenage Rebellion Quest Guide

Arc Raiders' new Frozen Trail update has brought with it a brand-new map to explore, but some of its quests still send you to previous maps to do a bit of busywork. For instance, for Celeste's Teenage Rebellion, you'll need to make your way back to Riven Tides. Here's what you need to know about completing this task for Celeste. In This Article Reach the lookout tower on Mulatierra HillTransmit the location from the top of the towerReach the old Raider Camp near the hotel, overlooking the beachSearch for the radio transmitter at the Raider CampFind the large antenna overlooking Riven Tides harborWeld the broken generatorStart the transmitter Reach the lookout tower on Mulatierra Hill The first part of the quest requires you to visit the lookout tower on Mulatierra Hill, which can be found in the center of the map. Lookout tower location The tower is hard to miss. Make your way inside, then take the ladder up to the top. Transmit the location from the top of the tower At the top of the tower, transmit your location at the prompt. Transmit your location here. Next, we're heading west. Reach the old Raider Camp near the hotel, overlooking the beach You'll now need to make your way to a Raider Camp between the beach and the hotel on the western side of the map. Check the map below for the exact location. Raider Camp location When you arrive, you'll need to find a radio transmitter in the camp. Search for the radio transmitter at the Raider Camp Interact with the prompt below to find a radio transmitter. Radio transmitter location Your quest will update with a new objective. Find the large antenna overlooking Riven Tides harbor Lastly, make your way all the way east to the large antenna that overlooks the harbor. Large antenna location This is on the very edge of the map, and much like the tower from earlier, it's rather hard to miss on the cliffside here. Weld the broken generator Interact with the generator directly next to the antenna to weld it. Weld the generator. One more step to go! Start the transmitter Next, press the "Enable the power" prompt. Enable the power. This finishes the quest, meaning you can now leave from an extraction point or raider hatch at your leisure. Turn the quest in back in Speranza for a Heavy Shield and a Looting Mk. 2 augment, which will both come in handy for the harder quests in the Frozen Trail update. Happy raiding! GTA 6 Merch Revealed, Including T-Shirt With Alligator Wearing Sunglasses And Drinking A Cocktail

Ahead of GTA 6's release in November, Rockstar Games has announced an official merch collection for the game, and it includes some snazzy stuff like a t-shirt featuring an alligator wearing sunglasses and drinking a cocktail. The alligator's name is Macca the Gator, and he's the star of a fictional in-universe TV show of the same name. Presumably we will learn more about this at some point, but I am certainly intrigued. All the GTA 6 merch you can buy right now. Available in the Rockstar Store, the collection includes t-shirts sporting that alligator design and numerous others, including the GTA 6 logo. There are also a collection of branded hats in black, pink, and blue, along with a GTA 6-branded Zippo lighter, canvas tote bags, and vinyl stickers, among other offerings. Of note, Rockstar says its t-shirts should be machine washed cold, but not put in the dryer. Instead, you should hang them on a line, Rockstar says. In addition to this merch, Rockstar partnered with the NBA's Miami Heat for a "Vice City Collection" of gear you can buy right now. GTA 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will have a lot of great music in it, as well as podcasts, and famous radio hosts.

Strange Scaffold Saved This New Tactics Game From Cancellation

One of the more interesting game reveals from today's Triple-i Initiative showcase was Gods With Badges, a narrative-driven tactics game about a disgraced police officer returning to the line of duty. What makes Gods With Badges even more fascinating is that it was canceled by its original developer and saved by El Paso, Elsewhere developer Strange Scaffold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXdR706AKPQ The press release announcing Gods With Badges explained that the project began at Artificer, the Devolver Digital-owned studio behind games like Minos, Sumerian Six, and Showgunners. Originally called Hard Justice, the project ultimately didn't pan out and almost never saw the light of day. Meanwhile, Strange Scaffold is spearheading an initative called Project Share, which encourages developers to share the original code for their games so other studios can riff on it. This previously helped enable the development of another Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion game and has now saved an Artificer game from cancellation. The press release explains that Gods with Badges took the work already completed by Artificer and reinterpreted it "through Strange Scaffold's distinctive creative lens." Studio Head Xalavier Nelson Jr. added that he is "deeply grateful to the original developers at Artificer for trusting us with their project, and can't wait for people to see what we've built on this complex, exciting foundation." Gods With Badges follows a disgraced police officer named Harrow McClellan as she patrols the dystopian city of Scarhelm. Each encounter starts with choice-driven conversations but can devolve into isometric, turn-based combat. Players can even turn off their bodycam to gain access to more combat abilities, though this will obviously affect how the narrative plays out. I expect this game to tackle subjects like police brutality and the role of law enforcement in an increasingly dystopian world. Gods With Badges will be released on PC sometime in 2027.

Arc Raiders Tracks Of The Beast Quest Guide

You've probably already spent some time running around in the snow on Arc Raiders' new Pendola Pass map, but it's time to head back there once again for the Tracks of the Beast quest. This time, you need to visit a few locations and ping a few baddies, and we're here to fill you in on how to make it all happen. In This Article On Pendola Pass, head to the Northern TracksFind the destroyed station at the end of the tracksPing a Bully / Ping a Skulker On Pendola Pass, head to the Northern Tracks The first step of the quest requires you to head to the Northern Tracks POI, which is located (you guessed it) on the northern tip of the map. Northern Tracks Make your way all the way up to this POI to receive a follow-up objective. Find the destroyed station at the end of the tracks Next, you'll need to find a destroyed station. From the Northern Tracks, head southwest to find Almatera Station. Almatera Station Arriving at this location will complete this portion of your quest. Ping a Bully / Ping a Skulker The final part of this quest requires you to ping a Bully and a Skulker. These are two new ARC foes added in the Frozen Trail update. You can find Skulkers all over the map. These little terrors look like futuristic remote-controlled cars, and they pack a hell of a punch if they start shooting you. Skulker Ping one, then kill it if you need to, but try to avoid getting overwhelmed with multiple shooting at you at once. You'll find a Bully or three around the map near POIs, too. We found one near Almatera Station, but they're fairly plentiful in general, so you're bound to come across one with a bit of exploring. Bully These are much larger, faster foes that can absolutely demolish you in the blink of an eye if you're caught in the open. Use cover if you're looking to take one down. But for the sake of this quest, feel free to just ping one and move on. Once you've pinged these ARC, you can extract and head back to Speranza at your leisure. Of course, you can also kill three Skulkers and return a Skulker Targeter to Shani to complete the optional part of the quest if you so choose. Either way, with that quest wrapped up, check out our full Arc Raiders mission list for more tips on how to complete additional quests in this popular extraction shooter.

Arc Raiders’ Big Update Has It Surging To Numbers It Hasn’t Seen In Months

When Embark said it would take several months to deliver the major Arc Raiders update it envisioned, days like today were probably the goal. The extraction shooter is once again high up in Steam's charts for both best-selling and most-played games. Among best sellers, Arc Raiders currently ranks fifth, behind this week's other big releases, Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Gears of War: E-Day, but those came out earlier this week, and it's still early, so we may see it leap over those before the week is through. Its new cosmetic DLC, the Frozen Trail Collector's Set, is also selling very well. It currently sits at #8 on the best-sellers list. As for concurrent players, Arc Raiders has eclipsed triple digits on Steam, something it hasn't done since May. It's sitting at 106,000--that's good for 12th on the list--and has actually gained 5,000 more players since I started writing this. Like its sales surge, it seems likely that it'll keep climbing throughout the day. Not coincidentally, May was when Embark announced it would be moving to a semi-annual cadence for major updates, with today's Frozen Trail being the first such update since that change. Embark felt it needed more time to deliver bigger updates for players while giving developers breathing room for a healthier work environment. I've been fascinated by that bold move because it's rarely seen in the world of extremely popular live-service games. Arc Raiders never really dropped off completely; it still averaged 40,000 concurrent Steam players in September, but it was close to averaging half a million last holiday season, so the fall was precipitous, even if those numbers were likely never to be sustained. The first day post-update can't tell the whole story on whether this revised roadmap pays off for Embark, but it's clearly off to a strong start. Arc Raiders will be free-to-play this weekend on all of its available platforms.

In This Article Take a picture of the Emperor's leg by the bridge outside Old TownAnalyze the exposed area on top of the Emperor’s leg near Railroad JunctionReach the base of the EmperorSearch the buried Harvester payload You may want to bring along an augment with a safe pocket, as you'll need to extract with an item to complete this quest. Also, be absolutely certain you bring a Camera with you. Toss it in the safe pocket until you need it. Head to the bridge circled on the map below. Head to this location to take your picture. When you arrive, equip a camera and zoom in on the massive Emperor's leg right beside you. Take a picture of the leg. Snap the pic, then close out your camera and re-equip your weapon. Analyze the exposed area on top of the Emperor’s leg near Railroad Junction Next, you'll need to make your way to one of the Emperor's feet just south of Railroad Junction. Note the location on the map below. Go to this spot to find the leg. When you arrive, climb on top of the foot and interact with the prompt here to complete this portion of the quest. Analyze the exposed area. There are still a few more steps to go, though. In this quest, you'll have to complete a variety of objectives, including one that requires you to have a specific key. Here's everything you need to know about completing Home to Roost. In This Article Reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnelsScan any Android at the back of the tunnelsReach the MANTIKOR locker roomSearch for any clues in the locker roomRead the last vehicle weighing logsEnter the Confiscation RoomTransmit MANTIKOR security's last recordings to Shani Note that you do not have to complete this quest in a single visit to Blue Gate. However, you will need a Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key to finish the final objective. This key drops randomly while looting across various maps, so there's no way to guarantee getting one. We'll fill you in on some ideas further down, though. Reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnels Your first goal is to reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnels. To do this, head to the Checkpoint POI in the center of the map. Checkpoint location On the ground floor of the southern side, where many destroyed vehicles are found, you can enter the tunnels through massive gates. Keep to the left inside. Walk straight back all the way to the end of the tunnel. Go all the way to the back wall. Your objective will update. Scan any Android at the back of the tunnels Check the very back wall for an Android you can scan. Afterward, your objective will update. Reach the MANTIKOR locker room Turn around from where you scanned the Android and spot a path leading right. Follow this path all the way to a small set of stairs leading to a door. Head toward this door. To the right of the door are some more stairs. Take these up. Take these stairs. When you enter this area, look immediately to the right for a door leading into the locker room. This is the locker room. If no one else has been here yet, it'll need to be breached. But it's possible it'll already be open, so head on inside. Search for any clues in the locker room Check the back of the room for a spot you can interact with. Interact with the prompt in the back of the room. Afterward, you can head back down the stairs you originally followed up to this area. Read the last vehicle weighing logs When you're back downstairs, look out from the platform you're on to spot a weighing station. Reference the photo below for the exact location. This is the weighing station. On the right side of this station is a spot you can interact with. Interact here. You'll read the last vehicle weighing logs, then you'll receive another updated objective. Enter the Confiscation Room Now, head back to the area you just came from, where the stairs were on the right. There's a locked door here to the Confiscation Room, which will require you to have the Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key. You'll need a key to open this door. This drops randomly while looting, meaning it's kind of blind luck as to whether or not you'll find one anytime soon. Instead, you may want to team up with someone else who already has one, or simply hope that the door is open when you arrive. It's a pretty commonly looted room, so there's a reasonable chance someone will open it every match or so. Transmit MANTIKOR security's last recordings to Shani Once you're inside the Confiscation Room one way or another, your goal is to transmit MANTIKOR security's last recordings to Shani. To do so, climb on the rack in the middle of the Confiscation Room, then interact with the white box there to complete the quest. You'll finally be done with Home to Roost and can head back to Speranza for your rewards. But be sure to check out our full Arc Raiders mission list so you can wrap up every quest.

Arc Raiders Clean Hands Quest Guide

Early in the questlines for Arc Raiders' new Frozen Trail update, you'll be asked to visit Pendola Pass to find a nomad camp. This quest tacks on some additional objectives soon after, too, and it can be tricky to figure out exactly where you need to go. So, let's save you some time by walking you through each step. Here's how to complete the Clean Hands quest in Arc Raiders. In This Article Find the Nomad Camp under the RailyardSearch for the polluted item in the Nomad CampBring the Equatorial Sundial to the top of the Church in Old TownDeliver the Equatorial Sundial to the Nomadic Envoy Note that it's a good idea to bring an augment with a safe pocket for this quest, as you'll need to extract with an item in your possession. Otherwise, just bring some heals and at least one decent gun for protection, as Pendola Pass can be quite a dangerous place. Find the Nomad Camp under the Railyard The first step in this quest is to find a Nomad Camp under the Railyard. You can find the Railyard on the eastern side of the map. Approach the Railyard from the east. When you arrive, approach the building from the east to spot two round openings in the side of the wall. Pass through either of these. Look for these entrances. Inside, you'll find the Nomad Camp. Search for the polluted item in the Nomad Camp In the middle of the room is a duffle bag you can search. Open it to spawn the Equatorial Sundial. Grab it and toss it in your safe pocket because you're not quite done yet. Bring the Equatorial Sundial to the top of the Church in Old Town Next, leave the Railyard area and head all the way west to the Old Town POI. You can spot the church easily once you arrive here, as it's sporting a tall steeple. That just so happens to also be exactly where you need to go. Head to the church, which is easily identified by this steeple. Head inside the church and take the spiral staircase up until you reach a zipline that takes you to the top of the steeple. Take the stairs to the steeple. At the top, interact with the yellow icon here to hold the sundial up and complete this part of this quest. Interact with the prompt here. You're almost done now! Deliver the Equatorial Sundial to the Nomadic Envoy All that's left to do now is extract from Pendola Pass however you see fit, then visit Ermal back at Speranza to turn in this quest. With that quest out of the way, make sure to check out our full Arc Raiders mission list for more help.
