Cool, gimme.Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new clip for the upcoming Resident Evil movie from director Zach Cregger. It's a pretty violent one too; so much so that it's completely age restricted, and so there's not a lot of point in embedding it here. Hopefully this next one will be a bit more exciting.Read the full article on nintendolife.com
File under "Hmmm".Nintendo has historically been very cagey about who actually develops its games; particularly in the last handful of years. With the likes of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and Mario & Luigi: Brothership, we typically didn't know for definite who the developer is until close to launch (despite often having fairly accurate hunches). So naturally, it only makes us even more curious about who is working on the upcoming Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. We've already thrown a few potential hats into the ring, but one Norwegian retailer seems to think it's got it nailed down.Read the full article on nintendolife.com

And what we can do about it when we spot it.Breath of the Wild was one of my first video games after an unintentional gaming hiatus (#adulting, sigh). I was good at it—some of it, at least, things like exploring the map, completing side quests, and flurry rushing enemies. But getting the bonus treasure chest in Ree Dahee Shrine? I couldn’t figure it out. This was made infinitely worse by the fact that I could see the treasure chest, hopelessly above me, taunting me. Items, runes, armour, food buffs, jumping—nothing worked. This was a game for children, and I, an adult, was stumped. I was embarrassed, doubly so when I eventually looked up the solution.Read the full article on nintendolife.com
Misty-eyed.Y'know, given the fact that the first Pokémon movie was quite literally called Pokémon: The First Movie, we perhaps should have known that more would be on the way.But there are 24 now. 24. With a 25th on the way very soon, in fact. And so if you fancy playing catch up and have a spare $400 lying around, Amazon US has a rather fetching new blu-ray collection up for grabs.Read the full article on nintendolife.com
So sayeth me.The Immortal John Triptych is one of the funniest games I’ve ever played – certainly the funniest since Thank Goodness You’re Here. It compiles three titles from developer Joe Richardson: Four Last Things, The Procession To Calvary, and Death of the Reprobate. All were released between 2017 and 2024, but including them in one package is undeniably the best way to experience them.Chances are you’ve never played anything that looks quite like this, though you may well be familiar with many of its sights. All three games were built by taking bits and pieces from famous Middle Ages and Renaissance paintings, stitching them all together to form interactive scenes.Read the full article on nintendolife.com
You can also "play" it.Paramount Pictures and Legendary have released a new trailer for Street Fighter, the latest attempt to adapt the iconic fighting series into a movie.Street Fighter movies don't have the best reputation, largely thanks to the astoundingly awful Legend of Chun-Li in 2009. But we've gotta be honest: this one looks so damn good. It's clearly leaning into the absurdity of the game series, with faithful recreations of characters, clothing, moves, and more.Read the full article on nintendolife.com

"the most important bit is that the players are happy".It's safe to say that, besides from Mario Kart World, CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition was the game of the Switch 2's launch in 2025.That probably sounds strange considering it's a port of a title that infamously had a disastrous start on other platforms, but by the time it released on Nintendo's new console, it has been improved significantly and was widely considered one of the most impressive open-world games available.Read the full article on nintendolife.com

"I’ve never been a fan of horror".Despite directing one of the greatest survival horror games of all time with Resident Evil 2, game creator Hideki Kamiya has always been open about his aversion to scary stuff. Now, in speaking with VGC, Kamiya has called out Capcom directly for supposedly having "no awareness" of how scary its flagship survival horror franchise really is. He says that despite wanting to experience this year's Resident Evil Requiem and revisit the ruined site of the R.P.D., he is unable to do so because of how much it scares him.Read the full article on nintendolife.com

Goodwill Geralt. One of the biggest surprises from this year's Gamescom ONL showcase was the announcement of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - Remastered for the Switch 2; a reveal made all the more sweet thanks to the confirmation that it would be free for current owners. In speaking with The Game Business, CD Projekt Red CEO Michał Nowakowski stated that charging current owners for the remastered version simply never entered the developers' minds.
